Taking a walk (open)

His stubby tail twitched happily "Well i know a nice place with a few different berries and i think theirs an old apple tree might have a few frozen apples still on it"
Donder inclined his head slightly causing his bells to tinkle softly. "Would you like to follow me across the river and i will show you the way"
Moving back to give himself room to open his wings he leaped out across the river, gliding mere moments before, landing on the rock Kilara had been sunning herself on and pushing off again clear to the other side.



Sitting next to river felicity raised her head hearing a strange sound again. Shrugging she turned her attention back to finding something more to eat.
Digging at the Base of a tree she was delighted to find some sweet root. Pulling at the deeply rooted vegetable a muffled crack could be heard as it snapped further down the root.
Digging a bit further down it showed the clean break wiggling it free she carried it to the river holding it tight in her beak she washed the dirt from it before starting to munch on it.

Kila flew into the air, planning to kick of the rock the same way Donder had. Instead, she slipped off the side and plunged into the still freezing cold river. Embaressed, she clawed back onto the rock, shook the water out of her fur/feathers, and flew the rest of the way to the riverbank.

Ash was curled up on the very top branches of a tree. The tree had no leaves yet, only small buds, and the gryphine's white fur and feathers were easily seen. But Ashes wasn't hunting, she always had better luck in the winter when she blended in with the snow. Instead she was taking a light nap, enjoying the slightly warmer weather indicating that spring was on it's way.

After a few minuites, Ashes got up, lazily stretching her wings. She lept from her branch, gliding down until she reached the forest floor. Her stomach growled, and Ash decided that she should find some food. Knowing that there was always lots of small animals and plants near the river, she headed in that direction.

Ashes was almost at the river when she heard a crack. Peering around the bush she was behined, she saw something strange. A female gryphon was sitting at the riverbank, eating a root, but that wasn't the odd part. Where normal gryphon wings should have been, there were translucent green ovals, lightly veined with feathers at the base. Ashes ducked back, hoping the strange creature hadn't seen her.

Donder watched as she followed and saw her slip as she landed on the side with him a million thing rushed through his mind on what to say or do.
"Are you all right?" he asked moving to her side.




Hearing a noise Felicity looked around herself.
At first she though it was nothing and went back to munching but as she did she noticed something white in the gaps of the bush.
~To warm for snow. To early for blossom~ her mind wandered then it clicked ~rabbit with it's winter fur. good hunting at this time~
Standing slowly she kept an eye on the bush before running and leaping towards the white thing.
Crashing through the bush she came face to face with another gryphine
Looking at her blankly the words fell from felicity's mouth before she could stop them
"your not a rabbit"



(sweet root is carrot Or parsnip XD it's just a sweet tasting root vegetable)

"Um, no, I'm not." Ashes said warily, regarding the strange gryphine. "I'm Ashes. Who are you?"

"Just fine," Kila said, "If a bit cold. The river isn't exactly warm at this time of year."

((Sorry for the insanely short post, I only have a few minuites and I was lacking in inspiration))

"I'm Felicity. Alpha of the Riverbank drifters." she paused for a moment before motioning towards the roots on the bank.
"want some? i dug up more then enough for one."
She noticed Ashes glance more then once at her wings and rolled her eyes
~every one does the same thing~ she thought as she fluttered them on purpose
