Name: Oakfeather

Gender: Male

Age: Adult

Traits: Bobtail

Personality: From a tender age, Oakfeather has been a playful sort. He's happy to play most any game, even when he's hunting down the sticks that he's known for gathering. In fact, Oakfeather's talent for finding and storing wood is what earned him his adult name. He is the best gryphine to go to if one wants high quality nesting materials, as he's since "branched out" from simple stick collection to feathers, string, leaves, and more!

History: Hardly anyone remembers just who Oakfeather's mother and father were, mostly because he was raised by an entire pack. In the end, it didn't really matter, as Oakfeather eventually started his own pack in a different territory, and while he visits his first home often enough to keep in touch, his current pack is his main concern. Since meeting Silverpaw and developing a mate bond with her, Oakfeather has been much happier and more productive. The nest that he's working on to be theirs he claims will be his masterwork.

Aspirations and Goals: To make sure his pack has food, security, and shelter. To create the "best nest ever" in honor of his beautiful Silverpaw.

Fears: Drowning, losing Silverpaw, not being there for his pack, and starvation

Name: Silverpaw

Gender: Female

Age: Adult

Traits: Clawed paws, fluffy tail, and slitted eyes

Personality: Silverpaw, or Silver as her pack often calls her, is a very confident gryphine. She is one of her pack's hunters, and is known to bring the biggest and tastiest of prey. She does have a playful side, but only her pack mates seem able to encourage her to show it. She's very cold towards strangers, but the moment that she sees anyone in desperate and sincere need of help, it suddenly doesn't matter whether she knows them or not, Silver will rush to them and try to help as best she can.

History: This female is one of the few members of the forest gliders that was born in the area that the pack currently inhabits. This is a distinct advantage to the group, for since her joining up, Silver has been busying herself showing her pack where the best nearby spots are for hunting, hiding, water, and nesting material. The latter are usually expeditions of only Oakfeather and herself, which may explain how the two became close so quickly.

Likes: Exploring her pack's territory, hunting, preening, and spending time with her mate

Dislikes: Being dirty, Daystar's jokes, and when Oakfeather gets too "clingy"

Aspirations and Goals: To provide for her pack and remind them how to provide for themselves by example. Is considering that once the nest Oakfeather has been working on is finished, that she might want to have chicks. Maybe.

Fears: Being a bad mother, running out of food/water, and that she'll push Oak away by her being standoffish

Name: Daystar

Gender: Male

Age: Adult

Traits: Folded ears, raven beak, and slitted eyes

Personality: Most would swear that Daystar has never had a gloomy day in his entire life. They just might be right, as nothing seems to get this gryphine down. He works through every issue his pack has with almost nauseating cheerfulness. He's definitely a "The pond is half full" kinda guy. That not to say that he doesn't have his eccentricities. When Day isn't spending time with Skyflower, out patrolling, or meeting with his alpha to get things done, he's usually found stretched out on his back in the middle of a sunbeam. That's if he's not playing with the pack's chicks, or failing that, chasing terrified squirrels through the woods. Considering that he usually eats the ones that he catches, can you blame the squirrels for panicking? He also tries to be the best mate possible for Skyflower. He sees her as being the best part of his life. So, whenever he comes across something he thinks is "pretty", be it a flower or a shiny rock, he's likely to snatch it up and gift it to his Sky. Thus far, she's graciously accepted every present.

History: As one of the first to join Oakfeather's pack, Daystar considers it his job to keep Oak from feeling too much stress. To Day, this equates to getting his alpha involved in lots of play and hunting time. Daystar doesn't share things about his past. When asked, he gets that rare grumpy look on his face, the kind that lights up his slitted red eyes in a dangerous way. Most gryphines not only drop their questions when exposed to that look, they also want to be somewhere else, the faster the better!

Likes: Flying, hunting, jokes, squirrels (The taste of them, anyway), sunlight, and warmth

Dislikes: Darkness, feeling cold, and questions about his past

Aspirations and Goals: To keep Oakfeather's spirits up, to be the best mate ever for his Skyflower

Fears: His nightmares (which have been less frequent since Skyflower joined the pack), losing any of the gryphines that he cares for (again), that he'll never be a father

Name: Skyflower

Gender: Female

Age: Adult

Traits: Feather crest

Personality: They say that opposites attract. Well, it must be true to some extent, for Skyflower is almost the polar opposite of her mate, Daystar. Whereas he is quite chatty and loves to both play and joke around, Sky is the epitome of refined elegance and serenity. She speaks only when necessary, though her polite manners often fit greetings and farewells into that category. Sky believes in maintaining traditions as well as rules, many of which she brought with her from her birth pack, but she's adapted well enough to accept Oakfeather and Silverpaw's own. She is amused by Day's silly antics, and can often be found relaxing with him in a patch of sunlight. The affection between the two of them is genuine, though they do have the occasional spat. These tend to begin with Sky scolding Day for not being serious enough about something.

History: Having left her birth pack upon reaching adulthood, Skyflower is grateful to have a home again. Like Daystar, she does not speak much of her past. However, instead of getting angry as Day does when asked about it, Sky becomes sad and withdrawn. She has earned her place in the pack by applying what she remembers of her birth pack's traditions to add to the Forest Gliders' understanding of their race and the area's history. She has applied this knowledge to become a prized adviser of the Alpha and his mate, and should the pack expand further, she will likely be the first that members will seek to share their ideas. Sky also is the pack's gatherer of berries, apples, and other edible plants. She stores them in nooks and crannies throughout the pack's territory, and knows by heart where each and every stash is kept.

Likes: Cuddling with Daystar, gliding, gathering, listening, naps, and quiet contemplation

Dislikes: Loud noises, mud, rude behavior, the sight or smell of blood, and when Daystar cracks a joke at inappropriate times

Aspirations and Goals: To keep the pack well supplied, to show Daystar he's loved every day, to found her own traditions, to learn to accept her past and share it with others, and to one day have chicks of her own

Fears: Death, pain, and all forms of violence
